I need 88M

Without 88Ms my mission would be a total failure. I depend on them more than anyone else. My guys rack up the miles here in PLS/LHs systems and M916s.

I appreciate all the info on this series.. I am still fresh also.. I still have to do my BCT.. But these comments help ease my worries of this job.

Love My MOS!!!

I've been an 88N for about 8 of my 10yrs of service.(2 spent with the airforce, A-10's).So, I definetlly like working the flightline! But, yeah this is one of the most rewarding MOS's in the Army. You are the one who moves the military. Alot of responsibility but the rewards are tremendous. I would not change this MOS. And i cant wait to hit the civilian sector of my job$$$!

HOTELS do it all now

in my nine years in the US. Army as a 88H, ive spent missions on the road like a 88M, label, inventoryed cargo like a 88N, and played with all the fun equiptment that 88H's do. Its funny the more missions i go on i realize that all 88 series find themselves doing anothers job from time to time, just roll with it, learn and have fun

88N and Love It

I completely agree with 88n chick and guest Letourneau. I love this job! and Guest Travos and SPC Bin Hooah are correct, you need a minimum SECRET clearance as you have access to sensitive data.

56E40

Went into the Army for transportation and I though that I would be driving a truck, But ended up as a Steveadore unloading ships. I was a hatch forman on board the ships. My MOS was 56E40 witch is an 88n now. spent time in Vietnam Greenland France port Canaval in Fl. Retired with 20 years.

88N

"Nothing Happens Until Something Moves" I have been in this MOS for 16 years. It is by far one of the most rewarding MOS's. Like 88n chick said earlier, the airfield is the best duty I've had. Trains, planes, vessels, and automobiles. As far as a security clearance, you will eventually need one. 88N's have access to time sensitive deployment related information and information systems. The skill sets you receive in this MOS is remarkable. I cant wait to hit 20 years. I feel like I am losing out on all the money to be made out there for this MOS. I would not have it any other way.

What Job

I am a SGT 88M, and if you want this job, go for it. TRY TO GET INTO A TRANSPORTATION COMPANY! I have served 5 years and have rarly done my job (driving truck). I have been in forward support companys the entire time, and as a private rather than drive trucks it was details and more details. Getting out on the road only happens during training, but is still fun!

88m

I was with 546tc out of Bragg in Kuwait. Driving a HET was fun. Then went to a sister company and started to drive a PLS. Also alot of fun. With about 11k under my right foot, I am headed back with 546tc for more fun with a HET.

88m

I was a 88m for 8 of my ten years in the Army. I was always first driver(first truck out of the gate,It went to the best driver) I loved driving and drove everything with wheels.i joke and say everything from a 1 wheeler(boat) to a 22 wheeler m915. I carried ammo most of the time trained and carried N.B.C. ammo. I had basic C-5-3 and A.I.T. B-5-4 at Fort Leonard Wood Mo. I made some great friends and drank a lot of beer at Ft Wood. We would sneak a 5 pack up to our floor (3nd floor) A guy named Brezner would buy the beer and climb in the window. They all had cement slabs outside of the window,I guess it was there in case of a fire.3 of us would drink the 6 pack,Brezner would go buy another and we would take our empties to the 1st floor trash can. We would tie the beer to a boot lace with a knot on the end and close the window.Pull 1 up and drink. I miss Ft Wood and all my buddies Go ARMY !!!

88n

I was told by my brigade s2 that ALL 88Ns need a secret clearance now. Anyone that can confirm or deny would be welcome. But I have held this MOS for over a year and have not done my job. I was a 95B/31B when I was in the first time...fun stuff.

88L

We're called "Snipes" for a reason ;) Become an 88L if you like fixing and working on boats... Become an 88K if you just want to work on boats and sail them someday...
