Ornamental Rod?
- Sceptre? Really? Which model was the Sceptre? Must have missed that one, or the spell check did.

Soft Underbelly
- I flew 96 combat missions on the AC-130A & H model and what makes it an effective weapons platform is the crew. The aircraft has a 360 degree view by the crew members designated as scanner. They give the AC directions on evasive maneuvers to avoid being hit by AAA. The only weakness is radar guided weapons. I am sure counter measures have been incorporated by now. It is an awesome platform.

Soft in the underbelly
- I have followed the developement of Spooky and the Spectre packages, the only problem with the gunship I have seen is it is too easy to shoot down. I would like to see somethip like the GEEWHIZ system the Navy uses to shoot down inward bound missles. If they could throw a half million denatured U rounds at the enemies ground to air missles it would be nice. Iremember at least one was lost in the first Desert War.

cargo aircraft
- In the nam war we used the c-130 turbine gas prop driven aircraft including the heavily armed ac-130 spooky or spectre. We also used the c-141 starlifter in various appliccations. C-17 was not born yet. Thx, peace thru superior firepower.
