NEC Designation: NEC MA-2005 Dog Handler
Description: Performs specialized duties in law enforcement, physical security, anti-terrorism operations and detection of explosives and/or illicit drugs in the military community utilizing assigned military working dog. Responsible for the care, welfare and continuous training of assigned dog to ensure physical condition and proficiency are maintained. Maintains administrative records associated with the use and maintenance of assigned military working dog.
Qualification Data: Source Rating(s): MA

Billet Paygrades: E4-E6

Personnel Paygrades: E4-E7

Course: Mandatory

Open to Women?: Yes

Notes: This NEC requires completion of both the Military Working Dog Patrol course and the Dector course.
