NEC HM-8408 Cardiovascular Technician
Assists in all phases of cardiac catheterization, angiocardiography, arterial puncture studies, bronchography. Sets up and maintains sterile field packs and cares for all instruments, and operates fluoroscope. Possesses knowledge of skin testing methods using purified proteins derivative of tuberculin, histoplasmosis and coccidioidin.
NEC may be assigned to inactive duty Naval Reservist who: 1) have successfully completed a BUMED-recognized training program and or is certified by the National Registry for Cardiovascular Technologists, and 2) is a cardiovascular technologist/technician with documented current clinical competency.
