Naval Air Station, Whiting Field is the host for Commander, Training Air Wing 5 and five training squadrons.
Whiting Field serves a population of over 2,680 Active Duty personnel, approximatley 2,700 Family members and 9,100 retirees. There are 1,161 civilian employees, 210 non-appropriated funded employees, and 719 contract employees.
