SCSC Wallops Island does not have a DODDS School, however, there are a number of excellent public schools in the local area for Kindergarten through Grade 12. SCSC family housing children attend various Accomack County Schools. School bus service is provided for the students to Kegotank Elementary School, Arcadia Middle School and Arcadia High School. On a case by case basis, attendance at other Accomack County schools can be considered. For further information call the Accomack County School Board.
There are several Private Schools available in the local area. Private schools are licensed by the Department of Education and are required to provide a program of instruction equivalent to the minimum standards established by the state.
SCSC Wallops Island does not have a Navy Campus but has an Education Services Officer on base.
