The Child Development Home (CDH) program is a Navy-wide program designed to train, license, and support family members of military sponsors interested in providing child-care in their homes both off base and in government housing. For a list of specific providers contact the Child Development Home Storefront Manager at (518) 886-0200 x9-161. During off-duty hours a list of current providers will be available on voice mail (518) 886-0200-#8-#3).
Each CDH provider is an independent business person responsible for offering (full-time, part-time, and hourly) care to children 6 weeks to 12 years in a loving, learning environment. There are a limited number of providers for children under the age of 2 years old.
The CDH program offers the direct cash subsidy payment program to offer affordable child-care to active duty military families. Parents of full-time children enrolled in the CDHP will pay a fee based on their total family income. Hourly care fees are determined by the rank of the military sponsor.
If you are interested in becoming a CDH provider or enrolling your child in the program please call the CDH office at (518) 886-0200 x9-161.
