Know Your Worth
At some point in your job search, pay is going to come up. Many companies list a salary range along with the job description. If the company you’re applying for doesn’t, you can get a ballpark figure of what to expect by looking at other companies offering a similar position. And just as a side note: don’t make the mistake of assuming that housing allowance, food rations, etc. are included in the advertised salary. Typically, what you see is what you get!
As the late Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke once said, “The harder you work, the luckier you get!” So use your resources to identify the opportunities in the career field of your choice and pursue them. And keep in mind; you don’t have to take the first job offer that comes your way if it’s not a good fit for you. There’s a world of opportunity out there, and it’s yours for the taking!
Best of luck!
