Marine air-ground task force

Definition: (DOD) A task organization of Marine forces (division, aircraft wing, and service support groups) under a single command and structured to accomplish a specific mission. The Marine air-ground task force (MAGTF) components will normally include command, aviation combat, ground combat, and combat service support elements (including Navy Support Elements).

Two types of Marine air-ground task forces which can be task organized are the Marine expeditionary unit and Marine expeditionary force.
