2010 Military Pay and Benefit Changes

Freeze of Tricare Fees

The 2010 Defense Authorization Act is now law. The act includes many changes in how the military is funded and operates in 2010.

For many years, the Department of Defense has tried to increase the Tricare fees for military retirees. Each year Congress has blocked them. It's the same this year. Section 709 of the act freezes Tricare fees and co-pays at the 2009 level.
