Next year's (FY 2003) military pay raise looks like a "done deal." While there are differences in the House and Senate versions of the FY 2003 Defense Authorization Bill, both the House and the Senate's Armed Service's Committees have accepted President Bush's proposal for a military pay raise. [Added: The House and the Senate have passed the FY 2003 Defense Authorization Act, and presented it to the President on November 26, 2002. The President signed the bill into law on December 2, 2002.
