(5) Be of excellent character, discretion, and unquestionable integrity and loyalty to the United States.
(6) Have no record of conviction by court-martial, during present or previous service with the Armed Forces.
(7) Have no record of conviction by civil court for any offense other than minor traffic violations ($100.00 or less). A series of traffic violations will not be considered minor.
(8) Have no information in Provost Marshal, Intelligence, Military Personnel Records Jacket (DA Form 2A and 2-1) or medical files which prevent the granting of a security clearance in accordance with (appendices G & J) AR 380-67.
(9) Have never been a member of the Peace Corps, except as specified in Chapter 1, AR 614-200 (former members will not be assigned within four years, and not in the country in which Peace Corps duties were performed).
(10) Have a minimum physical profile, of 222221.
(11) Must have normal night vision.
(12) Be a high school graduate or achieve a standard score of 45 or higher on GED tests 1 through 5. (AR 621-5 appropriate course of instruction at the US Army Intelligence School).
(13) Have 24 months to serve on active duty upon completion of the appropriate course of instruction at the US Army Intelligence School. An applicant who does not meet this requirement and is otherwise qualified, may extend his/her current enlistment or be discharged and reenlisted under the provisions of AR 601-280.
(14) Must have completed basic combat training.
(15) Be a minimum age of 18 for award of MOS 97B10 and a minimum age of 21 for accreditation as a CI agent. (AR 614-200. paragraph 7-10).
(16) Have an ST score, of 105 or higher.
(17) Be free of mannerisms or other personal characteristics that might be the cause of undue notice or recognition (detrimental to CI duties).
(18) A score of 89 on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB), is desirable, but is not required. Successful completion of a Defense Language Institute (DLI) course and/or attaining a minimum rating of 2/2 in a foreign language is also desirable.
(19) Must have a passing Physical Fitness Test (PFT) score, and meet the height and weight requirements of AR 600-9.
(20) Must have completed two years of active duty and not be barred to reenlistment.
(21) Must not be color-blind. Waiver must include a medical certification from Medical Authorities certifying distinguishability between GREEN, RED, and AMBER.
(22) Must not be a bonus recipient.
(23) Must not have used, possessed, trafficked, or sold illegal or dangerous drugs, including marijuana.
(24) Must meet the selection criteria, classification, and assignment restriction contained in AR 614-200 and AR 601-210.
(25) Must meet the career management and development criteria contained in AR 614-200 and DA Pam 351-4.
(26) Possess good voice quality and be able to speak English without objectionable accent or speech impediments.
(27) Must be able to obtain military driver's permit to operate commercial and tactical vehicles up to 2 1/2 ton.
(28) Acceptance in MOS is contingent upon a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), including an evaluation of the individuals personal characteristics and potential capabilities. The MOS will not be awarded until both a TOP SECRET clearance, and completion of appropriate course of instruction at the US Army Intelligence School has been obtained. NONWAIVERABLE.
(29) Must be eligible for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) access.
(30) Must have a physical demands rating, of moderate heavy.
(31) Will be interviewed IAW procedures 3-33, DA Pam 600-8.
(32) Personnel entering the MOS will be advised that, due to the nature of training and assignments, temporary restrictions may be placed on their foreign travel both during and after completion of their term of service.
(33) Waivers are approved only "IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES" to meet unusual service requirements.
