MOS 0621 - - Field Radio Operator

Rank Range: Sgt to Pvt

Job Description: Field radio operators identify personnel who employ radio to send and receive messages. Typical duties include the set up and tuning of radio equipment including antennas and power sources; establishing contact with distant stations; processing and logging of messages; making changes to frequencies or cryptographic codes; and maintaining equipment at the first echelon.

Job Requirements:

(1) Must possess an EL score of 90 or higher.

(2) Complete the Field Radio Operator Course at MCCES 29 Palms, CA.

(3) Must possess a valid state driver's license.

(4) Must be a U.S. citizen.

(5) Must have a secret security clearance.
