As an Investigator, you'll be a specialist, providing support to Coast Guard law enforcement and intelligence missions. You will conduct both criminal and personal background checks and investigations, collect and analyze intelligence information, and provide personal protection services to high-ranking Coast Guard officials and other VIPs.

Note: This rating is closed to active duty. It is available *ONLY* for the Coast Reserves.

Qualifications:

Enlistment is through the Direct Petty Officer Program only, and is based on special education and job experience. To apply for this program, you must be a graduate of a Basic Police or Criminal Investigator Academy and be currently serving as a law enforcement officer with a minimum of 3 years experience.

ASVAB Score Requirements: (None Established)

Training:

Correspondence courses and on-the-job training provide the majority of your required training. Depending on the nature of your assigned duty, additional training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), in Glynco, GA may be provided.
