The World War I Victory Medal is a Bronze medallion 1 7/16 inches in diameter. Shown on the medal is a full-length front view of Winged Victory wearing a spiked crown, holding a shield in the left hand, and a sword in the right. On the reverse side is a shield with the letters “US” separated by fasces over the middle of the shield and extending above and below the shield. On either side of the shield are the names of the allied and associated nations. The lapel button is a star composed of five points 5/8 inches in diameter superimposed on a wreath with the letter “US” in the middle.
