Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross

The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross is a Gold medal, 1 3/8 inches in width. The medal has a wreath which has two crossed scimitars overlying with a Maltese cross centered on it. In the middle of the cross is a disc with an outline of Vietnam centered between two palm sprigs which are joined at the bottom. A scroll with the words "QUOC-GIA LAO-TUONG" (Reward of the State) is above the medal.
