Philippine Congressional Medal

The Philippine Congressional Medal is a Bronze medal of 1 1/4 inches in diameter. In it’s center facing left is a military formation made up of color bearer holding the United States’ flag along with two soldiers holding rifles on their shoulders. Following the border on the sides of the medal are the words “PHILIPPINE INSURRECTION”. The date “1899” is shown between two bullets in the exergue. In the center of the reverse side are the words “FOR PATRIOTISM FORTITUDE AND LOYALTY” written on five lines centered in a wreath made of pine on the left and palm on the right and tied at its foot with a bow.
