Mexican Border Service Medal

The Mexican Service Medal is a Bronze medallion of 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Encircled by a laurel wreath is a sheathed Roman sword hanging on a tablet with the words “FOR SERVICE ON THE MEXICAN BORDER” written. On the reverse side, the Coat of Arms of the United States is pictured above a scroll and encircled by a wreath with cross rifles on the left and crossed sabers on the right, and crossed cannons at the bottom.
