French Croix de Guerre

The French Croix de Guerre is a Bronze cross 1 9/16 inches wide. Mounted over the cross are swords crossed with their hilt at the bottom. Over the swords is a centerpiece showing the Head of the Republic of France. The medal awarded for WWI and WWII are identical with the exception of the years on the reverse, which are: 1914-1918 on the WWI medal and 1939 on the WWII medal
