Distinguished Service Medal

The Distinguished Service Medal bears a gold rendition of The Coat of Arms of the United States bordered by a circle of Dark blue enamel. The medal is 1 ½ inches in diameter, and bears the inscription "FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MCMXVIII". The reverse side is a trophy of flags and weapons with a scroll centered within with space available for the recipient's name. The medal is suspended by a bar affixed to the ribbon.
