The Cuban Pacification Medal is a Bronze medallion of 1 1/4 inches I diameter. The Coat of Arms of the Cuban Republic is resting on fasces with the Cap of Liberty bearing a single star, branch of oak and laurel below surmounted over it. On either side of the Cap of Liberty is a soldier in khaki uniform with a rifle at parade rest. At the top in two lines are the words “CUBAN PACIFICATION" and at the bottom the dates "1906 - 1909". An eagle with outstretched wings perched on a trophy made up of a cannon, six rifles and four standards, and Indian shield, quiver of arrows and three spears, a Cuban machete and Sulu kris is shown on the reverse side. This is enclosed by a circle composed of the words “UNITED STATES ARMY” in the upper half, and thirteen stars in the lower half.
