The Army Reserve GI Bill Kicker is the Reserve version of the active duty Army College Fund.
The "Kicker" adds money to your Reserve Montgomery G.I. Bill education benefits. The RMGIB currently (2009 rates) grants $317 per month for up to 36 months for full-time college education. Recruits who qualify for and accept an MOS (Army job) in the Army Reserves that the Army considers critical can receive extra funds, bringing the monthly payments as high as $667 per month for up to 36 months of full-time education. The actual amount of the kicker depends on the particular MOS.
The MGIB and Kicker are also available to qualified prior service applicants who enlist in a high-priority vacancy for six years. This incentive may be combined with other incentives.
