Walter Reed Health Care System (WRHCS) serves a population of 150,000 beneficiaries living in the D.C. area. There are over 750,000 outpatient served annually. The current workforce consists of close to 3400 Military, 3000 DoD Civilians, and 2500 contractors. These numbers do not include the many outpatients living on post or those who come from off post for clinic outpatient visits.
The major unit serving at WRHCS is US Army MEDCOM.
