The Schoosl Liaison Officer at Fort Eustis works in conjunction with the Child and Youth Services Division and the local school community to address educational issues involving military children. The Schools Liaison Officer can be reached at: 1102 Pershing Ave Fort Eustis, VA 23604 Office: (757)878-5882/1149.

School age children living at Fort Eustis attend Newport News Public Schools. Most elementary age children attend General Stanford Elementary School which is located on the installation. In September of 2009, Fort Eustis middle school age children (grades 6-8) will attend Mary Passage Middle School. Reservoir Middle School will close and re-open as an Early Childhood Center. High school age students attend Woodside High School.

There are several Private Schools in the area. The Schools Liaison Officer can give you a list of available schools.

There is an active Home School Group at Fort Eustis. The Fort Eustis DoD Civilians and Active Duty home school families meet every Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Youth Services Building, 1102 Pershing Ave. The group does not meet on federal holidays or when the public schools are closed.
