In August 2002, Fort Carson became a 'closed' post. In order to gain access to the post, all new arrivals should report to Gate #1 on Highway 115 for a vehicle pass or to register your vehicle on post. Your current driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration information/papers will be needed.

Pass the exit for Fort Carson Gate #4 at B-Street. Continue West towards the front range
Take the State Highway 115 exit South towards Canon City
Pass the Fort Carson Gate #2 exit. After approximately two miles, Fort Carson Gate #1 will be on the left
