Schools

The Fort Bragg Schools consist of one junior high, one middle school and six elementary schools, plus an elementary school on Pope AFB., with an enrollment of 4,600 students in grade pre-school through nine. Students must live on the military installation (Fort Bragg or Pope AFB), or have 5 months or less to obtain on post housing. Pupils in grades 10-12, whose parents reside at Fort Bragg or Pope AFB., will be assigned to the E.E. Smith High School (Cumberland County School).

Fort Bragg School year starts 25 Aug 06 and ends 13 Jun 07; Christmas break is 20 Dec 06 to 29 Dec 06; Spring Break is 2 Apr 07 to 9 Apr 07. Please be sure to bring a copy of the following information for registration in the Fort Bragg Schools: Birth Certificate, Immunization Records, Record Proof of Residence on Fort Bragg, Social Security Number, Report Card (for the beginning of the year if student was promoted), Current Standardized Test Scores, Special Program Paperwork (Academically Gifted, English Language, etc).
