Fort Bliss is located in the center of El Paso, off Interstate 10 on US Highway 54 (Patriot Freeway). Situated between the rugged Franklin Mountains and the historic Rio Grande, this border community has the advantages of a major city with the charm of a modern western town. El Paso is a major transportation hub with many cultural and entertainment opportunities.

From US 54: Personnel arriving via US 54 should enter the post from the west side at the Cassidy Gate, which is a 24-hour gate.

From Interstate 10 East: Personnel arriving via I-10 East should exit I-10 at US 54 to Cassidy Gate.

From Interstate 10 West: Personnel arriving via I-10 West should follow the Fort Bliss signs and exit at Airway Blvd and enter the post from the east side at the Robert E. Lee gate which is also a 24-hour gate.
