Aberdeen Proving Ground has one hospital and one dental clinic. There is a Troop Medical Clinic on Edgewood, but there are no currently no dental facilities.
The Walter Reed Health Care System provides health care for more than 150,000 Soldiers, other service members, family members, and retirees in the National Capital Area. It's hub is the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The system includes 10 major treatment facilities in the tri-state area, including Kirk Army Medical Center located on Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Kirk Army Health Clinic at Aberdeen Proving Ground is one of Walter Reed's 10 major treatment facilities. The clinic is an ambulatory care facility and does not have an emergency room. Life threatening conditions are stabilized for transport to local hospitals. Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel-Air and Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace both have emergency rooms and are located a short drive from Aberdeen Proving Ground. Services available include the Troop Medical Clinic, General Medicine, Pediatrics and Well Baby, Occupational Health, Physical Therapy, Optometry, Physical Exam, Behavioral Health Service and Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Clinic, and the Social Work/Family Advocacy Program.
