All military personnel reporting to Aberdeen Proving Ground are required to process through the Housing Office, Bldg 4305, 2nd floor, room 258, before entering into any agreement to rent or purchase off-installation housing. Current DOD directives make this mandatory.

At APG, the family housing inventory consists of 1, 063 sets of family housing quarters and 70 mobile home sites, 10 of which are double-wide. There are quarters available for all ranks. Waiting times vary based on rank of service member and bedroom requirement. Application for housing must be made within 30 days of your arrival at APG.

Barrack space is available for permanent party bona fide single soldiers. Geographical bachelors (married service members who have elected not to bring their families) are not housed in permanent party barracks due to limited space. However, several buildings have been set aside for this purpose and rooms are assigned on a space available basis. For barracks information, call (410) 306-2002.

Information compiled from the Aberdeen Relocation Brochere, published under the auspices of the Army Relocation Program .
