The Caserma Ederle Child and Youth Services (CYS) Program consists of: Central Enrollment Registration, Office/Child and Youth Services, Liaison, Education & Outreach Services (CLEOS), Child Development Centers, Family Child Care, School Age Services, Youth Services, Child & Youth Sports & Fitness and SKIES Unlimited instructional programs. All children of military and civilian ID card holders are eligible, aged 4 weeks to 18 years of age.
All children must be registered through the CYS Central Registration Office in Davis Soldier and Family Readiness Center before participating in a CYS program. There is often a waiting list for CYS programs. Persons requiring child care, especially for children ages six weeks to five years, should contact CYS Central Registration for information regarding current waiting lists and the registration process.
The Vicenza Child Development Centers (CDCs) provide quality full-time, part-time, part-day and hourly child care for children 6 weeks through 5 years of age. The centers are open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and are closed on the weekends.
Programs offered include: Full-Day Care Hourly Care, Part-day Pre-school program, Part-time Pre-K program (5 hours daily) to prepare children for kindergarten, before and after school care for four-year olds enrolled in the DoDDS Sure Start Program and for children attending Kindergarten.
Family Child Care offers a family atmosphere with a limited number of children by an adult, who is certified by Child and Youth Services (CYS), in CYS certified government quarters.
The School Age Services program is offered in Bldg. 308 on Caserma Ederle.
