Caserma Ederle is located on the east side of Vicenza, approximately 3 kilometers from the Vicenza East (EST) exit off Autostrada (A4) which runs from Venice to Milan. The Autostrada is a toll road and similar to U.S. interstate highways.
Venice (Marco Polo) Airport is the primary port of entry to be used when coordinating commercial flights to Vicenza. All soldiers assigned to Vicenza should notify the gaining unit of his/her flight information. Although mass transit is available, transportation to post is provided by USAG Vicenza. Please call the gaining unit using DSN Telephone Numbers through the post nearest you.
Driving Directions from the Venice Airport
Follow Autostrada signs toward Milano
Take Vicenza East (Est) exit
After tollbooth, enter a traffic circle and take the second exit indicated by a sign for Caserma Ederle sign (the sign also has a picture of an American Flag). You will be heading toward Vicenza on "Viale della Serenissima"
You will pass a 4-level car dealership that says "Centro Usato - Nuova Fergia" on the right; get into the left lane
Bear left entering the traffic circle and then exiting right immediately; you will see a street sign marked "Via A. Moro"
Follow signs for Caserma Ederle getting in the left lane to go on the overpass.
Continue on "Via A. Moro", enter another traffic circle and take the third exit as indicated by the Caserma Ederle sign in order to travel on "Via A. Moro" in the opposite direction
Pass an AGIP service station on the right and then an Esso service station on the left
Caserma Ederle's main entrance will be on "Via A. Moro" (Via Aldo Moro) on the right.
