Air Force Enlisted Job Descriptions

The Chaplain Service Support Career Field provides comprehensive ministry support at all Chaplain Service echelons. Air Force policy directives require the Chaplain Service to render spiritual care and ethical leadership to military members and their families during peacetime, combat operations, contingencies, and exercises.

Chaplain Service Support personnel provide essential support to Air Force chaplains' pastoral and religious responsibilities enabling Chaplain Service mission accomplishment. Chaplain Service support personnel are an integral part of the Air Force Chaplain Service.

As nonclergy members, uniquely trained to apply religious sensitivities, they support the distinctive ministry needs of the pluralistic military community.
