Note: Orientation briefings are conducted in the 2nd week of Basic Training, during cycles established by the TACP Selection Team. These selection cycles are based on follow-on technical training class dates. Additionally, a physical fitness evaluation will be administered to qualified volunteers**. The standards for this evaluation are:

    50 push-ups in 2 minutes

    50 sit-ups in 2 minutes

    2-mile run in 14:30 or less.

**Volunteers during basic training can be enlistees in Mechanical, General, Administrative, or Electronic aptitude areas. Additionally, members with most guaranteed jobs may also try out. However, there are also a number of guaranteed jobs that are not authorized to try out, depending upon whether or not those jobs are critically manned.
