Moron Air Base began as a B-47 base, has since been a U.S. Air Forces Europe staging base and now is home to the C-5 Air Bridge and 496th Air Base Squadron.
Moron Air Base has a core foundation of 100+ permanent party military and Department of Defense civilians plus another 600+ civilian contract employees. Active Duty, Reserve and Air National Guard Airmen augment 24/7 operations across many functional areas, as required.
