With 2,447 family housing units, Minot AFB has one of the largest housing complexes in the Air Force. There are 426 officer units; 255 senior enlisted and 1,766 for junior enlisted. Currently, additional units are being added and many existing units are being renovated. Waiting periods for these units vary. People inbound to Minot AFB who would like to apply for base housing should contact their nearest housing office to fill out a request form as soon as they have orders. The phone number is (701)723-4660 or DSN 453-4660 Those who may receive basic allowance for quarters "with dependent" rate and have not requested housing prior to arriving at Minot AFB may apply when they arrive.

Only senior and field grade officers may occupy single houses. All units have a stove, refrigerator and garage. The basement for each unit has connections for your washer and dryer.

Depending on the floor plan, two-story units come in two, three, and four bedrooms. The two-story units either have one or one and a half baths. The downstairs has a living room, dining room, and a kitchen.

Split-level housing comes with either two, three, or four bedrooms. Two bedroom units have one bath. Three bedroom units have one and a half baths. Four bedroom units have one and three quarter baths. The kitchen, dining area and living room are in the front part of the split area. Bedroom and baths are on the upper split level.

Split level housing with three and four bedrooms are available for company grade officers and senior enlisted people. Junior enlisted people are eligible for all other split-level housing units.

The single story duplex style homes have three bedrooms, a combination living and dining room, one and a half baths and a kitchen. A storage shed behind each unit replaces the basement in other housing. Kitchens have dishwashers and hookups for a washer and dryer in these units.
