Bolling AFB provides several child development services. The program is DoD certified and is also accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.

Children ages 6-weeks to 5-years can receive full-time weekly care at one of two Child Development Centers located on base. Rooms for infants, pre-toddlers, toddlers, 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds are available. There is a part-day enrichment program for 3- and 4-year-olds as well. A kindergarten class is also provided. All fees are based on total family income.

There is a waiting time of approximately six months, however, priority is given to dual military and single military parents.

In addition to the two child development centers on Bolling, there are licensed family day care providers residing in base housing who can accommodate full-time care. The Family Child Care program for in-home day care offers professional and safe care in a home environment. Family Child Care is available for children 6 weeks to school age and offers drop-in, part-time and full-time care.

All children using any of the Child Care programs must have proof of current immunizations either with a shot record or medical records. For this reason it is highly recommended that these items be hand carried and not packed with shipments. Contact 202-767-2890 or DSN 312-297-2890 for questions on the child development centers.
