The 11th Wing, Bolling Air Force Base, D.C., maintains the 11th Operations Group, which consists of the USAF Band, USAF Honor Guard and Arlington Chaplain, and also the 11th Mission Support Group. Tenant units on base are Headquarters Air Force District of Washington, the 844th Communications Group and 579th Medical Group.
As the largest wing in the Air Force, the 11th Wing provides support to Air Force people and their families in the National Capital Region and to 40,000 Air Force personnel in over 80 countries. They also provide ceremonial support to the White House, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of the Air Force, United States Air Force Honor Guard and the United States Air Force Band.
