This Air Force Instruction (AFI) establishes guidance for the Air Force Alcohol & Drug Abuse Prevention & Treatment (ADAPT) Program. It implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 44-1. This instruction provides guidance for the identification, treatment and management of personnel with substance abuse problems and describes Air Force policy regarding alcohol and drug abuse.
