By , About.com Guide

Jan 22 2009

Military Members who are on flying status receive a monthly "flight pay."

There are two types of "flight pay" for enlisted members and one type of flight pay authorized for commissioned and warrant officers.

The Air Force and Navy pay enlisted members Career Enlisted Flier Incentive Pay, and the Army, Marines, and Coast Guard pay Hazardous Duty Incentive (Enlisted Crew Member) Pay.

Commissioned officers and warrant officers who are on flying status receive monthly flight pay, known as Aviation Career Incentive Pay.

For FY 2007, Flight Pay remains the same as it was in FY 2006 (no raise).
