Best Western Resort in Pensacola Beach offers a special rate of $55 to all active duty and retired military. The rate is valid from August 10 until March 15, 2000, Sunday through Thursday. 800-934-3301.

MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry) in Tampa, Florida grants all active duty, reserve or retired veterans a free general admission ticket on November 11 in honor of Veterans Day. 800-995-MOSI or www.mosi.org. MOSI is the largest science center in the Southeastern United States and home of the only IMAX Dome theatre in Florida. See the one of a kind Diplodocus dinosaur exhibit; get blown away in the Gulf Coast Hurricane; cruise the galaxy in the Saunders Planetarium; stroll through the BioWorks Butterfly Garden and see many more sights.

Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum, whose director is retired naval officer Tom Beatty, features historical wildfowl artifacts and depictions of the early history of Virginia Beach captured through pictures, oral reports and the cottage itself.
