U.S. Military Poll

The About.comRecruiter Ethics

I recently wrote an article (I cannot tell a lie) which pointed out that some recruiters have advised or instructed potential recruits to lie or withhold information about their qualifications (medical information, drug usage information, criminal history, etc.).

This topic has generated more email and postings in our message forum than almost any other topic.

I'm curious about whether or not this has ever happened to you, and what military service it involved.

Did you ever have a military recruiter who instructed you, or advised you to lie about your medical/criminal history, or any other qualification factor?
