Border Patrol Duty

Illegal immigration is a growing problem. The United States Border Patrol apprehends over 1 million illegal immigrants per year, and some experts estimate that several million more are never caught. According to the U.S. Justice Department, there are over 4,000 illegal immigrants in US prisons for serious crimes at any given point in time.

As a solution, some have suggested that the U.S. Military be used to help patrol our Nation's Borders.

Do you think Congress should pass an exception to the Posse Comitatus Act (the act which prohibits U.S. Military personnel from direct involvement in law enforcement), to allow active duty Military personnel to patrol our borders?
