DOD Tests New Household Goods Shipment Program: WASHINGTON -- Uprooting a family and moving is one of those challenging life transitions that cause emotional strain, drain one's energy and create all kinds of highs and lows. In its quest to ease the pain, DoD is testing the Full Service Move Project at 23 military installations across the country. It's all about bettering the quality of life of service members and their families by finding ways to improve household goods shipments and to minimize stress, DoD officials said.
