Navy Looking for Lost Diver: AMAGAMORI, Japan — A U.S. Navy diver remained missing Sunday in the Pacific Ocean near Ripsaw Training Range, 12 miles north of Misawa Air Base in northern Japan. What was supposed to be the final day of salvage operations on Saturday turned tragic for the crew of the Sasebo-based USS Safeguard salvage ship after one of two divers became missing after a night dive.
