3 Prisoners Escape from Detention Facility in Kosovo: PRISTINA, Kosovo — Three prisoners escaped from a United Nations-run detention facility in Kosovska Mitrovica on Sunday. The trio — a convicted murderer, a convicted armed robber and a man convicted of weapons violations — escaped from the facility at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, said Dean T. Olson, spokesman for the United Nations Mission in Kosovo’s International Police Task Force. U.N. troops captured one man four hours after the escape near the north bank of the Ibar River, but the search continues for the other two.
