Navy Ordered to Block Bin Laden Escape by Sea: FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- U.S. Navy ships in the northern Arabian Sea have been ordered to stop and search any commercial vessels off the coast of Pakistan suspected of carrying Osama bin Laden or other members of his al Qaeda terrorist network, Pentagon officials said today. Gen. Peter Pace, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, described the move as "a precautionary measure" meant to block terrorist leaders from trying to flee by ship.
