U.S. Chopper Makes Hard Landing in Afghanistan - 4 Hurt: WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2001 - An American military helicopter made a hard landing in Afghanistan yesterday, injuring four crewmembers, said DoD officials. "The injuries were broken bones," Pentagon spokesperson Richard McGraw told reporters today. None of the crews' injuries are considered life threatening. The incident occurred in the southern part of Afghanistan, McGraw noted. The entire crew was safely removed from the country and the injured are receiving medical attention, according to a U.S. Central Command release.
