The following medical conditions could result in initiation of a Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), and could result in medical discharge:

Paralysis of the larynx. Characterized by bilateral vocal cord paralysis seriously interfering with speech or adequate airway.

Stenosis of the larynx. Of a degree causing respiratory compromise.

Obstructive edema. Obstructive edema of the glottis, if recurrent.

Obstructive sleep apnea requiring Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) device.
