This regulation establishes standard policies on physical security systems planning, threat statements, control of access to installations, security of aircraft, bulk petroleum assets, and critical communications facilities. The Joint Chiefs of Staff-approved terminology, terms, definitions, and prescribed security measures are intended to facilitate inter-Service coordination and support of U.S. military terrorism counteraction activities.
