The directives cited in the following paragraphs provide basic policy for entitlement to and reporting of BAS for officers and BAS/commuted rations (ComRats) for enlisted personnel. This enclosure amplifies and supplements the information contained in those cited directives and provides information on approving and terminating BAS/ComRats.
